Corowa Distilling Co, which not only hosts weddings but happens to be one of Australia’s biggest whisky distilleries. It offers a truly unique experience for couples choosing to host their special day there. It’s soaring ceilings, and rustic features complete with ample dance floor and enough space for up to 200 of your nearest and dearest. The outdoor courtyard provides the most perfect space for canapés and cocktails and the expansive interior perfect for dinner and dancing. My first time but hopefully not the last at capturing this beautiful Corowa Distillery wedding.
About the day
Jack, a loyal Brit and passionate and professional footballer never imagined his future living in a small Victorian country town. That was until the effervescent primary teacher from Cobram stole his heart. Recognising his life would never be complete without Fran, Jack moved across the globe and settled in the small town of Cobram that lines the Murray River. It was the most perfect Autumn day for Jack and Fran. This popular duo had 180 of their nearest and dearest, many of whom had flown in from all over the globe to celebrate with them.
The ceremony has held at the St Joseph’s Catholic Church in town with Fr John Corcoran officiating whom Fran’s family has known for years. After the ceremony, we dropped into nearby Thomson’s Beach along the mighty Murray for a spot of hot chippies and photo ops under the shade of the gum trees and the sound of kookaburras in our ears. The celebrations continued at the charming Corowa Distillery, where the rustic atmosphere perfectly complemented the traditional feel of the day. The heartfelt speeches and joyful moments shared between the newlyweds and their guests made for some truly special moments.
