About the Venue

Ravenswood Homestead, located in Ravenswood, just 20 minutes before Bendigo is a gorgeous location in which to host your wedding. It has been sympathetically restored with every element maintaining the charm of the gold rush days. With its vintage fittings, raw timber beams and century old hand made bricks, Ravenswood is one of central Victoria’s most unique heritage venues catering for 40 – 150 guests. The boutique accommodation can also house your guests after a night of partying!

About the day

James and Millie’s wedding was such a special and picturesque event at the charming Ravenswood Homestead. The rustic charm of the location perfectly complemented the couple’s vision for a family-oriented and relaxed celebration. As a photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the joyous moments and the wonderful atmosphere of their big day.

The natural beauty of the surroundings added to the rustic feel of the wedding. The Homestead’s scenic grounds featured old oak trees, a quaint barn, and rolling green fields. These elements created a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflected James and Millie’s desire for a laid-back and intimate gathering.

James and Millie opted for a first look after they got ready with the highland cows the only ones allowed to witness! We then explored the expansive grounds with their wedding party before greeting their beautiful son Max for some family photos.

Throughout the day, there were so many heartwarming moments that showcased the love and connection between James, Millie, and their families. From the emotional exchange of vows to the laughter-filled speeches, it was evident that this wedding was all about celebrating the bond between two families coming together. Kerrie Grossman did a wonderful job in officiating the service.

James and Millie were then able to spend the full canapé hour with their guests with the soothing tunes of Knot Music drifting over the guests.

In conclusion, James and Millie’s beautiful and rustic wedding at Ravenswood Homestead was a true celebration of family, love, and joy. The relaxed and inviting atmosphere created the perfect setting for their intimate gathering. As their photographer, it was an honor to capture the heartfelt moments and document their love story.
