About the venue
Ballara Receptions is the perfect venue for weddings. Based on the foothills of the Yarra Valley in Eltham, Ballara offers a picturesque experience for couples in which to host their wedding day. An entirely private space complete with lush and established gardens, chapel as well as elegant reception Ballara has truly thought of everything! Guests will be well entertained with a large dance floor underneath an impressive chandelier. They will also be well fed with a yummy three course meal.
About the day
Super chill couple, Adam and Amy wanted a day to feel organic, relaxed and fun with a photography experience to match. Melbourne’s unpredictable Winter weather was kind to us and the ceremony took place outdoors by the lake. We explored the gardens right on dusk taking in the last breath of light just in time for celebrations to continue inside.
Young son, Felix was a bundle of joy throughout the day and took everything in his stride. There were so many personal special touches such as Amy’s Mum playing the bagpipes as she walked down the aisle. Guests were kept entertained with the beats of @lt entertainment combined with All Sax Steve. We ducked out quickly for some all important night shots before the happy couple were sent off with a sparkler exit. It was a real joy to work with some familiar faces to truly create a dream team on the day!
