The gardens are private which are perfect for those beautiful portraits. The modern dining room caters for up to 180 guests and includes a sizeable dance floor and impressive chandelier. There is also accommodation on site for up to 100 guests a bridal suite for those all important getting ready photos and an additional room perfect for hosting smaller celebrations.
Bel and Bri were married on the most perfect Autumn day at the charming Elizabethan Lodge in Blackburn in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. The ladies wanted to incorporate elements of Western and Eastern influences. But not lovers of the spotlight, they structured the day so all their loved ones could be involved. They started off with an intimate ceremony in the garden, before more guests joined them for the tea ceremony and then everyone joined them later for the festivities into the reception. We managed to duck away quickly for portraits at the nearby Blackburn Lake before more photos around the venue in their Hanfu.
Bel and Bri incorporated a lot of colour into the day, with Bri even dying her hair rainbow. Bri also made her own bouquet which Bel then had tattooed on her body afterwards.
Being busy working professionals, they enlisted the help of Jess from M.Ingle Events to take some of the stress away from the wedding planning. It was wonderful working with Brendan and Starbrina again, this time with bubs in tow! This wedding has also been accepted to appear on the Polka Dot Wedding website – stay tuned!
