Once the site of Pentridge Prison, Chapter Place is now an extraordinary space for couples seeking a unique venue in which to hold their wedding. Featuring many pockets within the venue itself, it has been empathically restored and maintained its historic charm. Couples and their guests can also choose to stay on site at either The Interlude or the adjoining Adina Apartments. Chapter Place is set up so well to accommodate intimate weddings as well as larger celebrations.
Like many a good love story, Jackson and Ashleigh met at work – in a prison no less! They didn’t set out to also be married in a prison – until they saw the unique charm of Chapter Place. Whilst these two beautiful humans have much in common, they didn’t agree on the wedding they wanted. Ashleigh preferring to elope and Jackson wanting a big wedding. They compromised and had an intimate celebration with their nearest and dearest.
Jackson, the hopeless romantic, popped the question on Christmas Day and 7 months later their date was set. We were able to optimise the light filled Adina Apartments whilst they got ready. Jackson and Ashleigh opted for a first look before exchanging private vows with each other. We then explored the venue with their wedding party. Choosing to keep their guests warm and cosy, their ceremony took place in the Long Hall. The ever so amazing and Jackson’s best friend – Tara Hazel got these gorgeous peeps hitched.
Guests then enjoyed the plentiful food and the unique reception space where formalities were kept to a minimum.
If you like what you see so far and think we'd be a great fit, I'd love to hear from you!
Photography is a celebration of love, life, laughter and family. It is capturing the joy, the tears, the raw emotions and the connections with our loved ones. I love to photograph people and places, photography is not just my job, it’s my passion.
