I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Maureen Miles celebrant a number of times so I was totally stoked when she reached out to me in relation to her daughter Kim’s wedding and whether I’d be interested in photographing her wedding. A ‘quick’ phone call with Kim turned into an hour long chat about anything and everything and it felt like we were old friends.

Freddy and Kim live in Austria so planning their wedding from overseas during a global pandemic was fraught with issues but after a few failed attempts, they were finally able to fly to Australia and their gorgeous elopement took place at Kim’s parents’ property in South East Gippsland. It was a perfect Summer’s day and an intimate group of their closest family and friends gathered to see this beautiful pair married. We then travelled to nearby Minnehaha Falls for some stunning shots amongst the cliffs and waterfall before catching the sunset and then heading back to the house to continue the rest of the festivities!

If you’re a sceptic of love at first sight, then read on! Kim, on a trip to Europe spotted the intriguing Freddy from across a crowded room and eyes locked. Like a magnet they were instantly drawn to each other and they came together immediately. It was like no-one else was around them and they have been inseparable ever since. Kim now calls Freddy’s native Austria home. What a love story! It was such a joy to get to know these beautiful humans and capture their special day!
